The Creative York Symposium will explore 21st Century Creative Technologies and how they can Enhance the Cultural Infrastructure (of York).

The Cultural Evolution will tackle issues such as, how creative entrepreneurs and practitioners can inject innovation and enterprise into developing the cultural economy and infrastructure. The programme will bring together a group of speakers, all of whom have had experience in planning, delivering and engaging with cities that are recognised for their creative approach to development and change.

In this full day event, our presenters will cover issues such as:

  • Opportunities for new ways to engage with a target audience, "age of interactivity"
  • New interpretations of city culture and heritage, where the old meets the new.
  • Financial sustainability for our cultural model through environmentally sustainable means.
  • Considering other specific successful projects and how we can apply them to our area.

Speakers include: Lighting Urban Community International, Liverpool Arts Regeneration Consortium, Joseph Rowntree Foundation, and 4ip, to name but a few - all of whom have had experience in planning, delivering and engaging with cities that are recognised for their creative approach to development and change .
