We were so overwhelmed by the sheer number and quality of the 2010 submissions, we’ve decided to run a competition again this year.  Illuminating York presents visitors with endless opportunities to capture York at night, from the installations to supporting events, crowds and abstract lighting images – so get creative. Please send your images to illuminatingyork@york.gov.uk.

The winner will be selected by this year’s artists and will receive £50 of photography vouchers and a printed canvas of their winning image. Please note that while we actively encourage visitors to photograph the artwork, if you intend to use your pictures for commercial gain, you must obtain permission to do so from the Illuminating York Festival and the artists.
